The UN Secretary General, NBA All-Star Roy Hibbert and Britney Spears have all been caught pony- dancing to PSY’s Gangnam Style. As holiday season approaches, Santas are learning it too.

Dozens of Santas performed the Korean pop star's signature dance moves aboard an Australian naval ship on Nov. 3. The publicity stunt was meant to promote Santa fun runs for children’s charity Variety, according to todaysthv.com.

There are seven runs scheduled across Australia next month. Most of the events will be 5 kilometers long and will raise money for sick and disadvantaged children, according to the event’s official website.

"We hope to get around 5,000 Santas running here in Sydney and about 25,000 in all capital cities across the country,” David Small, CEO of Variety, told todaysthv.com.

Santas aren’t only running in the land down under. Flint, Mich., is expecting more than 2,000 Santas to take over its streets on Dec. 1 to benefit the local YMCA, according to mlive.com. Participants can choose between a 5 kilometer and 1 mile events. Now in it’s third year, the event has amassed a following, according to the news outlet.

“It’s a fun, unique opportunity,” Janet Tweddle, the chief operating officer of the YMCA of Greater Flint told mlive.com. “People might think they’ll look silly in a Santa suit, but when they pick it up, they’re all smiles.”
