Forget scrolling through your newsfeed, you have a more important Facebook assignment: planning a wedding.

Brides magazine announced on Monday that couples can enter to win a free "dream" wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach resort in Dana Point, Calif. and a honeymoon in the Cayman Islands. The catch? All the details of the celebration will be determined by Facebook voters (though Brides will choose the winning couple).

Each week, new wedding options will be revealed on the Brides Facebook page, and users will vote for their favorites. The wedding will be broadcast live on Facebook on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 7 p.m. Eastern.

“In a world of reality TV, where we have seen this level of sharing and community interaction, I think this is exciting,” Brides editor Keija Minor told The New York Times. “This couple, they’re going to become social media stars, and I think that’s an experience for any couple.”

The magazine has also pledged to donate $1 for every "like" on Facebook related to the wedding to a charity of the couple's choice.

Brides' "Facebook wedding" follows in the footsteps of the Today Show Wedding series, in which viewers vote on each aspect of a couple's big day (the winning couple is also chosen by Today Show fans). And last month, a Malaysian Olympic badminton athlete announced that 10 of his Facebook fans would win invites to his wedding.
