How To Remove Grease Stains With Chalk

A pretty nifty trick.

Butter, sauce, gravy -- you’re bound to end up with one of these grease stains while cooking this holiday season. And while the food you’re preparing might look good, your clothing and linens will not. Instead of spending hours trying to remove the stain, try this trick from Reader’s Digest.

Simply rub a piece of white chalk onto the clothing and let it absorb the oil before brushing it off. If this does not remove the stain, try it again and than launder as usual.

This is definitely better than wasting time trying to scrub out the stain. Plus, it’s an inexpensive alternative to using special detergent or expensive stain-removing pens.
