'The Big C' Season 4 Will End With Four-Hour Series 'The Big C: Hereafter'

'The Big C' Is Going Out In Four Parts

"The Big C" may be coming to an end, but viewers have a four-part series to look forward to before saying their final goodbyes.

Showtime has announced that "The Big C" will wrap up with a four-part limited event series titled "The Big C: Hereafter."

"Hereafter" will star series regulars Linney, Oliver Platt, John Benjamin Hickey, Gabriel Basso and Gabourey Sidibe, with Kathy Najimy and fashion icon Isaac Mizrahi set to guest star.

“It has been a true joy watching someone as gifted as Laura Linney take Cathy Jamison on her journey these past three seasons,” President of Showtime Entertainment David Nevins said in a statement. “We wanted to take particular care to honor the fans of the show with a compelling and memorable conclusion. We thank Laura, Jenny Bicks, Darlene Hunt, and The Big C’s gifted ensemble of actors, producers and crew for the remarkable work they have created.”

"The Big C" follows Cathy Jamison's (Linney) battle with melanoma as she attempts to maintain strong relationships with her family and friends. The premiere date for "Hereafter" is yet to be announced.
