'Twilight' Star Ashley Greene Being Eyed For 'Satanic' Role

'Twilight' Star Wanted For 'Satanic' Role

"Twilight" star Ashley Greene might soon take on a much darker role than fans may expect.

Greene is reportedly being eyed for The Weinstein Company’s upcoming horror flick "Kristy," which is now being called "Satanic," according to The Wrap. The "Twilight Saga" actress would join Haley Bennett of "Arcadia Lost," who is already slated to join the cast.

"Satanic" will tell the chilling story of a group of college students who are attacked in their dormitory over Thanksgiving break (via Bloody Disgusting):

With the rest of the campus home for the Thanksgiving holiday, Justine and a few of her friends spend the weekend in their college dormitory: studying, relaxing and blissfully unaware of the terror that is about to unfold outside in the cold. Suddenly, confronted by a gang of violent outcasts, Justine’s quiet long weekend becomes one long lesson in survival as her and her classmates are terrorized in increasingly bizarre and brutal ways, leaving it up to her to figure out who her attackers are…and if they can be stopped.

The horror flick will certainly be a departure from the PG-rated "Twilight" series that Greene is used to. She has starred as Alice Cullen, a vampire who can see the future, in the five installments.

The 25-year-old actress, who plays the lead role in "CBGB," a Randall Miller-directed film about the famous punk rock club, already has some experience with horror films.

Greene starred in 2009's direct-to-DVD "Summer's Blood," a Canadian thriller about a young girl stalked by a family of serial killers as she tries to find the father she's never known.

As for TWC, the studio recently picked up the domestic rights to "Kon-Tiki," telling the story of Thor Heyerdahl's journey across the Pacific Ocean on a raft, The Wrap previously reported. That film is set for a 2013 release.
