Achijah Berry, Oregon Forward, Scores Accidental Header After Goalkeeper Hits Her With The Ball (VIDEO)

WATCH: College Soccer Player Scores Unintentional (And Painful) Goal

Achijah Berry sure knows how to use her head.

The Oregon forward scored quite the goal in Sunday's Civil War match against Oregon State, taking a clearing attempt off the face and getting credit for the header.

With four minutes left in the first half and Berry rushing down the field, Beavers goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme left the box to clear the ball and accidentally kicked it straight into her opponent's head. The ball took a fortuitous bounce off of Berry, rolling straight past Prudhomme through the open space and into the goal.

Taking a soccer ball to the face might be a painful way to score a goal, but it could have been worse. Earlier in March, Philadelphia Flyers right winger Wayne Simmonds had a puck deflect off his face, scoring a goal and leaving Simmonds bruised and bloody, Yahoo! notes.

Berry, however, appeared to be fine afterward, hugging her teammates and smiling in celebration. The Ducks shutout the Beavers 2-0 to finish the season 3-5-2 in Pac-12 play and 8-10-2 overall.
