Jennifer Lawrence: Oscar Nomination Led To Personalized M&M's

That Time Jennifer Lawrence Received Personalized M&M's

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the more beloved young actresses in Hollywood for a couple of reasons: (a) She's extremely talented, as evidenced not only by her work in "Winter's Bone" and "The Hunger Games," but also the upcoming release "Silver Linings Playbook," which has her at the front of the Best Actress race, and (b) she's a straight shooter.

During an outstanding interview with Melena Ryzik for the New York Times, Lawrence revealed that one of the perks of earning a Best Actress nomination for "Winter's Bone" was the personalized candy.

“That literally was probably the coolest thing that I saw,” she said about M&M's that had her picture emblazoned on the hard candy shells. “I was like: ‘You know what? It’s all worth it’ after I saw those M&M’s.”

This is hardly the first time Lawrence has displayed that now-signature self-deprecation. In an interview with HuffPost Entertainment sister site Moviefone earlier this year, the "Hunger Games" star joked about her running style.

"I'm a weird runner. So, that was unfortunate," Lawrence said about "The Hunger Games" and its physical shoot. "That's what I'm most nervous about in this whole ordeal. I'm most nervous about everybody making fun of the way I run. I do, like, karate hands. Instead of running with my hands closed together like a normal person, it's like I'm trying to be aerodynamic or something, so my hands are straight like razors. Karate hands."

As mentioned, Lawrence gives one of the year's best lead actress performances in "Silver Linings Playbook," playing a mentally unstable widow who slowly falls for Bradley Cooper's equally unstable former teacher. What would happen if Lawrence earned a nomination again? More M&M's?

“I want a pizza with my face on it," she told Ryzik.
