Joe Biden Made 'Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?' Cameo In 1993 (VIDEO)

WATCH: Joe Biden's 'Carmen Sandiego' Cameo

With Joe Biden's "Parks & Recreation" guest spot coming up on Thursday night, Political Smokeout dug up some footage from the vice president's less auspicious TV beginnings: a 1993 cameo on the classic PBS show "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?"

In the clip above, then-Senator Biden calls Special Agent Greg to inform him that he proposed a resolution naming him Best Detective of the Year. But after some congressional negotiations, the award was downsized to The Somewhat Notable Detective of the Next Twelve Minutes.

Biden will make his latest TV cameo on "Parks & Recreation" Thursday, Nov. 15 at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC, giving Leslie Knope the chance to meet her political idol. "Meeting Vice President Biden was a thrill for me and for Leslie," Poehler said in a statement. "He was a good sport and a great improviser. The Vice President maintained his composure while I harassed him and invaded his personal space. The nation of 'Parks and Rec' will be forever grateful."
