We've long been obsessed by the possibility of a chaotic, bloody zombie apocalypse -- and now Amazon is jumping aboard the undead lore train.

Pop culture is littered with references to flesh-eaters, and "survival guides" continually circulate the dark depths of the web. But zombie fanfare always comes down to one question: Would you live or die in an epic battle against the undead?

Amazon's new Zombie Apocalypse Supplies page swings favor toward the side of humanity. The gallery of (essential) merchandise includes categories like "First Aid Supplies," "Hunting Accessories" (two-way radios and shotgun bore cleaners, among other necessities for warding off hordes of the undead), "Brain Protection" (heavy-duty protective helmets), and more.

Worried you'll be ill-prepared to understand the ghoulish creatures you might encounter in the near future? Don't fret - this handy site is also full of zombie films and novels that will help explain multiple interpretations of the impending walking dead apocalypse (and it has nothing to do with bath salts).

But why is Amazon so suddenly concerned about a zombie takeover? The Next Web notes that it's very possible this page is an advertisement for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops II game, which was released Nov. 13, "judging by the small, easy-to-miss logo on the page."

Either way, we plan on being prepared.
