WATCH: 'Big Bang Theory' Cast Surprises Audience With Flash Mob

The characters on "The Big Bang Theory" (Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS) are known for their straight-laced nature and brainy observations, but sometimes the cast likes to shake things up a bit.

During an Oct. 23 taping, the "Big Bang Theory" cast shocked the audience with a flash mob to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The seven main actors -- Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Simon Helberg (Howard), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Mayim Bialik (Amy), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Kaley Cuoco (Penny) -- jumped into a coordinated "Big Bang" flash mob that included some of the rest of the cast and crew.

Cuoco, who led the group, began teasing fans about the big surprise on Wednesday before making the big reveal Thursday.

The kicker of the performance was at the end when Parsons, back in Sheldon mode, told the crowd "Bazinga!"

"The Big Bang Theory" is in its sixth season, averaging 19 million viewers each week, according to The Associated Press.

"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
