Katt Williams Arrested: Comedian Taken Into Police Custody After Club Fight

Katt Williams Arrested

And another funnyman has gotten into a scuffle: TMZ reports that comedian Katt Williams was arrested in Oakland, Calif., Wednesday night following a fight at Kimball's Carnival. Wiliams was taken into custody and has not yet been released. Further details were not provided.

This isn't the first tango with police for Williams, who is best known for his role as Money Mike in the 2002 comedy "Friday After Next" and appearances on Nick Cannon's MTV show "Wild 'n Out." In October he was arrested for allegedly pulling out a gun on actor Faizon Love in Los Angeles. In 2009, he was charged with burglary for allegedly stealing approximately $4,000 worth of jewelry from a Georgia residence.

On Nov. 9, a $5 million lawsuit against Williams was filed by Melissa Ishage, his former assistant, who claimed that Williams had struck her on Oct. 6 and caused "serious and permanent injuries."
