Zooey Deschanel acknowledged and has apparently come to accept that everyone thinks she and Katy Perry look alike. Back in 2009, Deschanel called the comparisons "annoying" and hoped they would stop, but she was far more gracious about the situation on "Late Show with David Letterman."
Oddly enough, Deschanel said those comparisons between the two of them began even before Katy Perry was famous.
"Friends of mine would call me up and say, ‘You know, I saw you at at that restaurant last night. I waved to you. You just blinked and looked at me like I’m a stranger,'" Deschanel said. "It turned out that it was all just Katy Perry."
When the two finally met, Deschanel said she was glad that Perry was attractive. It's far less annoying a comparison when everyone is saying that both women are beautiful and look alike. It doesn't look like it's going to go away, as they were side-by-side as lookalikes in People's 2012 Most Beautiful issue.
