The Powerball jackpot climbed to $250 million after no one matched the winning numbers in Saturday night's drawing. The winning numbers were 3, 15, 27, 58 and 59, and the Powerball number was 20.

The next drawing in the multi-state lottery will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Although no one claimed the jackpot, there were five winners in Saturday's drawing. One lucky player in Texas matched five numbers with the Power Play option, winning a prize of $2 million. Four other ticket holders in Florida, New York, Texas and Illinois matched five numbers and won $1 million each.

A standard Powerball wager costs $2, but players can select a "Power Play" option for an additional $1 when purchasing the ticket. Power Play increases the cash prize for any winning combination that isn't a jackpot.

The Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The absence of a winner Saturday increased the jackpot by $36 million.

According to Lottery Universe, the largest Powerball jackpot to date was $365 million, which was split between eight employees at a Nebraska meatpacking plant in 2006, the New York Times notes.
