Amy Poehler Reminisces About Joe Biden's 'Parks And Recreation' Cameo On 'Live With Kelly And Michael' (VIDEO)

Amy Poehler Talks Almost Kissing Joe Biden On 'Parks & Rec'

Amy Poehler may be as fond as Joe Biden as her "Parks And Recreation" character Leslie Knope. Poehler stopped by "Live! With Kelly And Michael" Tuesday and was already reminiscing about filming the scene with the vice president.

On last week's "Parks & Rec," Leslie's fiance Ben (Adam Scott) surprised her with an opportunity to meet her political idol and celebrity crush. Hilarity and an awkward embrace ensued.

Poehler reported that Biden handled the uncomfortable scene like a pro. "Well it was really fun, I got to like lean in to go kiss him. I think he's used to crazy people because he was just like, 'Mhmm mhmm mhmm.'”

In a prior statement, Poehler praised the vice president's acting skills. "He was a good sport and a great improviser. The Vice President maintained his composure while I harassed him and invaded his personal space."

Poehler told Ripa that Biden's decades-long career as a political have helped his acting. “I think if you’re a politician I imagine that there has to be a certain amount of ... [acting]. You have to do everything I don't like to do, which is remember people's names and call people back.”

She didn't mention Biden's acting ace in the hole: his 1993 cameo on "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?"
