Donald Green Admits To Giving Cocaine To UK Trick-Or-Treaters On Halloween

No Jail For Man Who Gave Cocaine To Trick-Or-Treaters

Who can make the kids high? This candyman can.

A British man evaded jail time after admitting he gave cocaine to three trick-or-treaters on Halloween, because he said it was an accident.

Donald Green, 23, mistakenly dropped baggies of cocaine into the candy sacks of three children, ages 5, 6, and 8, instead of the Haribo candy he meant to give them, UPI reported.

He told the Oldham Magistrates' Court on Monday that when he realized he'd given a trick rather than a treat, he drove up and down the street trying to correct the mistake. Meanwhile, the kids' dad -- an off-duty cop -- found the drugs and called his on-duty colleagues.

One of the kids remembered that the "treat" had come from the final house of their candy run, pointing authorities to Green.

Green had reportedly never been in trouble with police before the Oct. 31 incident, so a judge was lenient in slapping him with a sentence of 12 months of community work.
