When you don't think you have anything, Oprah says, "go back to your breath." Be grateful for what you have, rather than what you don't. According to Oprah, when you live with the energy of gratitude, it "rises… the joy inside yourself." And if you can get to one good feeling, it attracts another good feeling and the good mood keeps on going -- the good feelings are abundant!
Now, if you go down the other road and you believe you're in a bad situation, "focusing on the bad situation continues to make you feel worse," says Oprah. "The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is read some kind of spiritual material… I start my day with something that's going to put me in a positive frame of mind so I begin attracting to me positive energy."
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, take a moment to be grateful for what you do have, and begin see the power of gratitude at work in your own life!
