Random acts of kindness spread joy any day of the year. But during the holidays, misfortune becomes magnified -- as does an unexpected act of generosity. For Thanksgiving, we've compiled some spirited good deeds found around the web and submitted by HuffPost readers.

We're continuing to add to this slideshow through the holiday season, so if you or someone you know has committed a random act of kindess, add a photo at the end of this slideshow, email us at goodnews@huffingtonpost.com, leave them on our Facebook wall, or tweet them to @HPGoodNews with the hashtag #kindness2012.

Happy Thanksgiving, you guys!
