Blake Shelton's first Christmas special, "Blake Shelton's Not-So-Family Christmas," actually does include a bit of Shelton's own family, including one very special guest.
The hour-long NBC special, which premieres on Mon., Dec. 3 at 10 p.m. EST, will feature a duet with Shelton's mom, Dorothy Shackleford.
In HuffPost TV's exclusive clip above, Shelton joked about his relationship with his songwriter mom. "I kind of have a relationship with her like Ricky Ricardo and Lucy had," he said. "She pressures me to sing these songs that she writes." Shelton and Shackleford co-wrote their Christmas song “Time for Me to Come Home," which you can hear above.
"It's actually a song about how it's not Christmas unless you're with your mama," Shelton explains. "She buys me cool stuff."
The hour-long special will also include performances with Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert (Shelton's wife) and Reba McEntire, as well as appearances from Christina Aguilera, Larry the Cable Guy and Jay Leno.
”The icing on the cake was having the opportunity to perform with my mom, a song we co-wrote together," Shelton said in a statement. "Christmas has always been about family to me so having my mom and Miranda there -- that made it Christmas."
