'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition': Thanksgiving Special Helps Family That Helps Single Moms (VIDEO)

'EM:HE' Helps Family That Helps Single Moms

Though it may be gone as a regular series, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" returned to the airwaves. The one-time staple of the ABC network returned for a series of four special holiday-themed installments. And while Ty Pennington wasn't on hand for this Thanksgiving episode, Jenny McCarthy kept the energy up as the Watson family got a new home.

A new home wasn't the only thing this family was surprised with. Daniel and Mandy Watson were both raised by single mothers, and so they'd started The Restoration House of East Tennessee. It was a program that provided housing and other tools to single mothers and their children to give them the best chance of having successful and productive lives. So the team took on the extra task of building a new Restoration House as well.

"Our heart is overflowing. I mean, we will forever be operating out of the overflow of this," Mandy Watson said at the reveal. "We are forever grateful, and humbled, and moved. Really blessed by this entire experience."

The holiday run of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" continues on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
