Tyler Perry Causes A Stir At Waffle House

Following his starring role in Rob Cohen’s “Alex Cross” reboot, Tyler Perry has begun production on his next feature length film, “Single Mom’s Club.”

According to BlackFilm.com, the Liongate film, which stars Perry, Nia Long, William Levy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Zulay Henao, follows a group of single mothers who bond together in an effort to launch a support group for their children’s school.

CBS Atlanta reports that Perry’s production reportedly caused a traffic jam early Monday morning on East College Avenue surrounding a local Waffle House in Dekalb County. One of the chain’s employees, Wayne Winstead, took the initiative to drive from Mississippi in hopes of landing a cameo in the film.

"I cleaned a store just last night (in Mississippi), and I drove straight here, trying to get ready for this movie," he admitted to the news affiliate.

Tyler Perry’s “Single Mom’s Club” is currently slated to hit theaters on May 9, 2014.
