Central Park Time-Lapse Video Captures The Changing Leaves Of Fall In New York City (VIDEO)

Gorgeous Time-Lapse Of Fall In NYC

Christo once declared the open spaces of Central Park "the most unusual and surrealistic place in New York City." Well, we're sure the environmental artist would agree that there's no better time to experience the park's dreamlike landscape than the fall, a point made rather beautifully in this time-lapse video by filmmaker Jamie Scott.

The short clip shows a swooping panoramic view of the Big Apple's changing seasons, working its way across the tree-lined horizons of the city's famous park. To capture the autumnal time-lapse, Scott filmed in 15 locations across the expansive fields and walkways, pitching a tripod and camera two times a week for six months. The result is a gorgeous survey of the red and orange hues as they fade into winter grays.
