Pharrell Williams' Miami Penthouse On Market For $16.8 Million (PHOTOS)

Could one of Miami's most styling residents be leaving our fine city? Say it ain't so!

Rapper, N.E.R.D. frontman, and design renaissance man Pharrell Williams has put his Brickell penthouse on the market for $16.8 million.

Records show he bought the sun-drenched condo in March of 2007 for $12.525 million, and in the years since, furnished it with a stunning array of pop art, including Takashi Murakami, Keith Haring and KAWS. It even housed a lifelike statue of Agent Smith, Keanu Reeves’s nemesis in "The Matrix."

“Living your life 40 floors up, looking out every day on ocean and skies, you see the world from a different point of view,” Williams told W Magazine. “It’s like living in a very interesting fishbowl, but since no one can see up here, it’s like a fishbowl with a limo tint.”

The magazine called his apartment "the world's most luxurious tree fort." It has 5 bedrooms and 7 baths, a penthouse pool, panoramic views, and a home theater.

Yet all signs point to Williams keeping his Miami ties. There's his project to turn hardscrabble Overtown blocks into Ice Cream City, "a whimsical neighborhood that would be home to the nation's largest indoor and outdoor skate park, a big box retailer, ateliers and specialty shops, and artist enclaves," according to the Miami New Times.

And on December 8, he'll be signing copies of his new book 'Pharrell: Places and Spaces I've Been' at Bal Harbour Shops.
