UPDATE: 11:30 a.m. -- Fox 2 reports classes were cancelled at Detroit's Henry Ford High School after a bomb threat was called into the school Friday morning. Police found no sign of explosives and believe a student was responsible for the threat.

A Detroit school was evacuated Friday morning due to a bomb threat.

According to WXYZ, police say a threat was called in to Henry Ford High School around 7:15 a.m. before the school day started. Teachers at the school on Evergreen Road on the city's northwest side were evacuated and students were not allowed in the building.

CBS Detroit reports students were told to wait outside as school officials had not called the day off.

Police are using bomb-sniffing dogs to sweep the school, according to Fox 2.
