Taylor Martinez Touchdown: Nebraska QB Scrambles For 76-Yard TD Run Against Wisconsin (VIDEO)

Nebraska QB Scrambles... For 76-YARD TOUCHDOWN

Not much went right for Nebraska in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday night as Wisconsin scored three touchdowns in each of the first three quarters en route to a 70-31 win.

But before Montee Ball and the Badgers got rolling, Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez made what may have been the most talked-about highlight of the night if his team didn't go on to lose by 39.

Trailing 14-0 with not even five minutes off the game clock, the Cornhuskers faced a 3rd and 11 back at their own 24-yard line. Martinez took the shotgun snap and was immediately pressured by Wisconsin's pass-rush. Martinez ran all the way back inside the 10-yard line before making three defenders miss as he cut across the field to the left sideline. Once he made it back to the 20, Martinez cut back across the field and found some more running room thanks to some key blocks. Martinez needed to make one more defender (and seventh of the play) miss at the 10 before reaching the end zone for the touchdown.

While it was ruled a 76-yard touchdown, Martinez might want to tack on some more distance to that considering he ran backwards at one point.

Was it the touchdown of the year? Some on Twitter thought so.
