Detroit AT&T Phone Outage Fixed, Officials Say

Metro Detroit AT&T customers experienced a temporary disruption of service Monday morning, but the issue has now been resolved.

AT&T officials told Fox 2 service has been restored to cell phone users.

The service outage prevented many Metro Detroit AT&T customers from making or receiving calls, but data and text message services were not affected.

Jermaine Spight, a spokesman for AT&T, told the Detroit Free Press, he believed the blackout had only affected the Detroit area.
