A woman is in custody after she allegedly opened fire on a colleague outside their workplace.

Guadelupe Hernandez, 59, is being held for questioning by Miami Gardens Police after witnesses said she fired multiple shots toward a woman identified as her supervisor, according to WSVN.

Witnesses said when the supervisor stepped out of her car, Hernandez fired, piercing the woman's vehicle as she fled into the building.

"[The supervisor] was hysterical." building security guard Eddie Hernandez told CBS Miami. “She was saying, ‘Lupe’s got a gun, she’s trying to shoot me. Lupe’s got a gun, she’s trying to shoot me.’"

The security guard told CBS Miami that he advised the supervisor to run to her office and lock the door. Soon after, he told local media outlets, Hernandez entered the building in pursuit with gun in hand, but a second man intervened and stripped the gun from her hand as Hernandez was reloading.

The supervisor was not hurt, although police say she was shaken up. According to Local10, Hernandez was charged with attempted murder.
