Julia Stiles Admits To Being A Middle School 'Klepto' For HuffPost's #nofilter

Which Celeb Admitted To Being A Major Klepto?

These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question and answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?

In our minds, Julia Stiles is the badass chick we were all too afraid to be growing up -- she danced on tables in "10 Things I Hate About You" and schooled her haters on the dance floor in "Save The Last Dance." So it doesn't really surprise us that this on-screen rebel without a cause admits to having been a klepto in middle school.

The "Silver Linings Playbook" actress revealed to HuffPost Celebrity just how she got away with her middle school five finger discount ways -- until she got caught.

What's your guiltiest pleasure?
I never feel guilty if something is truly pleasurable.

What's the silliest thing you've ever lied about?
The first time my parents left me home alone, my mom told me not to use the stove. I made hot cocoa.

If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
I don't think they let you pick, do they?

How did you get on death row?
A flawed legal system.

What shows are always on your DVR?
"The Voice" and "SportsCenter."

What's your dating deal-breaker?
Anything snarky.

What's your go-to excuse?
I think it's just good to own it -- "I'm an a--hole." Sorry.

If failure weren't an option, what's one thing you would do?
Be in a rock band.

What's one thing from your childhood wardrobe that you wish you could wear now?
A sequin tube top, leggings and a petticoat.

What's on your nightstand?
"The Sea and the Bells" by Pablo Neruda -- just for the cover art -- and usually a glass of water.

Have you ever stolen anything?
I used to be a klepto in middle school. I shoplifted from Pathmark once, putting cosmetics under my sleeve. I got caught, but they agreed not to call my parents. I think that nipped the problem in bud.

How do you feel about scooped-out bagels?
What's the point? The doughy stuff is the best part.

Who's your ideal drinking buddy, living or dead?
Janis Joplin -- I would have loved to spend time with her. And maybe my grandparents, if I could be with them when I am of a legal drinking age.

When do you lose your temper?
When I feel someone isn't being straightforward with me. Or almost always when I am tired.

Cash or credit?
I prefer the idea of cash, but often revert to credit.

Beach or mountains?
Beach.

London or Paris?
Haven't spent enough time in Paris. But I loved my time in London.
