If you happen to be a foodie who can't get enough of cheesy snacks, we found the perfect recipe for you: Doritos consommé.
Consommé, or a soup that is clarified and strained of fats, is usually made with chicken or beef. But as Four Kitchens author Lauren Shockey explains, it can be made with "just about anything," such as tomatoes, prosciutto, or, you know, chips dusted with artificial nacho cheese.
The recipe involves boiling Doritos, "like you're making a Dorito tea," then freezing the mixture to create a "Dorito ice," which is then melted and strained. The outcome looks suspect, but Shockey insists that her recipe has a "Southwestern kick" and is the perfect addition to her shrimp, corn and cilantro soup.
