Neve Campbell On 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?' Episode, 'The Tale Of The Dangerous Soup' (VIDEO)

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Neve Campbell On 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?'

Before Neve Campbell became the face of the "Scream" franchise, she had some horror genre practice on Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

Campbell appeared in the 1994 episode, "The Tale of the Dangerous Soup" as Nonnie Walker, hostess and part-time bookkeeper at the Wild Boar, a restaurant renowned for its green-hued "dangerous soup," priced at $100 a bowl.

In the episode, shortly after Nonnie and newbie Reed learned that the secret ingredient in their boss Dr. Vink's soup is fear, they're the ones being terrified. At the 18:00 minute mark in the video below, get a peak at the gargoyle demon horrifying them, which has since been notoriously referred to as "the worst special effect ever." At least Campbell got some early scream queen practice (while wearing a turtleneck and floral vest) in with this guest stint.

In the next week, you can check out Campbell on "Grey's Anatomy" as Lizzie, Derek's sister who's donating her nerves to her surgeon brother so his hand can be saved. See what the actors had to say about the storyline here.

"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
