'Very Bad Men': Fake Nurse May Have Killed Hundreds

"Very Bad Men" explored the story of Orville Lynn Majors, a man who had forged his nurse’s exam to work in an Indiana hospital. Once there, he began killing elderly patients staying in the ICU.

Majors killed them by increasing potassium levels in their IVs, causing the to have heart attacks. Staff noticed the number of deaths in the hospital increasing drastically, and eventually caught him.

Majors was convicted on six murders and is serving 360 years in prison. Yearly deaths at the hospital quadrupled when he was there, leading authorities to suspect he could’ve killed more than 100 people.

Investigators think he even consoled victims' families after they’d died in a sick display of power. Majors was one of the hospital’s most popular nurses among elderly patients, who said he was tender and kind.
