While you should always aim to get an adequate supply of vitamins and minerals from whole foods, health and nutrition expert Joy Bauer assured me that taking vitamins can also be helpful. When she joined me on Mondays With Marlo, Joy said that vitamins will be absorbed into your body, and if your doctor advises you to take a vitamin because you're deficient, they will help you get back up to baseline.
