Good Samaritan Dressed As Caveman Rescues Victim From Beating (VIDEO)

WATCH: Good Samaritan Dressed As Caveman Rescues Man Being Beaten

An attack on a man in a busy street quickly came to an end after a Good Samaritan stepped in -- dressed as a caveman.

According to the Daily Mail, the victim -- a 31-year-old man -- had just left a formal event at the Mitre Inn in Stourbridge, West Midlands, when he was followed and attacked. CCTV footage released on Friday shows the victim being taken down to the ground, punched and -- in a brutal turn -- kicked in the face.

The impact of the blows left the victim unconscious, which allowed the beating to continue for a while until suddenly, a man in a caveman outfit arrived at the scene, the Mirror reported. Brandishing an inflatable club, the unidentified hero helped the man and stayed until an ambulance arrived.

Meanwhile, an acquaintance of the "caveman" dragged the attacker away, according to the Mirror.

Detective Constable John Horrobin said West Midlands Police are still seeking the suspect in the incident, which occurred on October 27. According to Your West Midlands, the victim sustained only minor head and neck injuries.

“The victim has little recollection of the attack and thankfully he will make a full recovery," Horrobin said.
