State Will Start Review Of Detroit's Books That Could Lead To EFM

Detroit's Financial Advisory Board signed off today on state Treasurer Andy Dillon's plans to kick off a 30-day review of the city's finances this week, giving a clearer glimpse of the end game taking shape.

The board's unanimous support of the review came as Dillon warned city officials they were unlikely to get as much state financial aid as they thought they would to help the city restructure because efforts to stop the city's alarming cash crisis aren't working.
