How To Get Amanda Seyfried's Braided Bun Hairstyle In Under 5 Minutes (PHOTOS)

Because we knew you were wondering how Amanda Seyfried looked that cool.

Amanda Seyfried's "Les Misérables" co-star Anne Hathaway has been hogging the style spotlight all thanks to her boyish pixie haircut (and questionable wardrobe choices). But recently, at the New York City premiere of the classic musical, our gaze was firmly fixated on Seyfried and her braided bun hairstyle (or as we like to call it, "cinnamon bun hair").

The 27-year-old actress pulled her golden blonde locks into a super sleek, Grecian-inspired braided updo. And the thick plait played nicely with her graphic smokey eye makeup and strapless Alexander McQueen gown -- showing off her heart-shaped face. While this hairstyle works perfectly for long-haired ladies like Seyfried, you can get this look in under five minutes with a braided headpiece.

To recreate this hairdo, start by blow-drying hair straight and applying a shine-enhancing pomade. Gather strands into two separate ponytails towards the back of the head. (You'll want to insert clip-in extensions at this point that match your natural hair color to lengthen locks). Braid the ponytails, then grab the right braid and start to wrap it around your head counter-clockwise and secure with bobby pins as needed. Tuck the end of the plait into the left ponytail holder before coiling that braid around clockwise until you've created one large braided bun. Set the style with a blast of holding hairspray.
