Senator Tom Harkin joined HuffPost Live Wednesday to discuss the fiscal cliff and how the Republican party and its Tea Party wing are major obstructionists in getting a deal done.
Harkin told HuffPost Live host Alicia Menendez that the Tea Party is "bullying people" and threatening to run primary candidates against sitting senators they don't agree with.
"I won't give credit to anyone who's a hostage taker," he said. "I don't give credit to anyone who uses a minority position to torque the will of a majority."
