'Weird Desk' Gets Taken Off ABC Schedule

ABC Has Benched 'Weird Desk'

So long, "Weird Desk!"

According to THR, the paranormal "Weird Desk," which was ordered to series just last week, has been shelved by ABC.

ABC's "Weird Desk" -- which centered on a top-secret organization that worked above the office of the president, according to Deadline -- was originally set to air in summer 2013 and would have joined new female-skewing soap "Mistresses" and Canadian cop drama "Rookie Blue."

THR reports that the series' sudden halt is probably due to the fact that that "Weird Desk," written by "Stargate's" Carl Binder and "The Librarian's" David Titcher, couldn't be produced fast enough for a summer premiere while keeping the cost low.

What do you think about "Weird Desk" getting yanked from the schedule so suddenly? Sound off in the comments.
