The 2013 Golden Globes nominations have been announced, with "Homeland" and "Modern Family" among the nominees in both the acting and series categories.

The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place on Sun., Jan. 13, 2013 at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST on NBC. The show will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are hosting, and both women scored nominations in the Best Actress in a Comedy category, which could lead to an awkward (but most likely hilarious) rivalry going into the show. Nominees for Best Actress in a Drama included Claire Danes and Julianna Margulies.

In the Best Actor in a Drama category, Damian Lewis and Bryan Cranston's nominations were no surprise, while "Homeland" remains a fixture in the Best Drama race. In the comedy category, "Modern Family" is the mainstay, nominated alongside "Girls" and "Smash."

The big Golden Globe winner in 2012 was "Homeland," which scooped Best Drama and Best Actress for Claire Danes, while "Modern Family" scored the Best Comedy prize.
