Ben Affleck recently revealed the secret to his longtime bromance with BFF and "Good Will Hunting" collaborator Matt Damon. "We've developed a pretty good story over the years and we don't lie to each other," Affleck told E! News several weeks ago.

And it seems that Damon has formed a similarly solid working relationship with his latest co-star, Michael Douglas, who plays his lover in HBO's upcoming Liberace biopic, "Behind the Candelabra."

"For one scene, I had to come out of the pool, go over to Michael Douglas, straddle him on a chaise lounge and start kissing him. It’s not like I kiss him just once. We drew it up like a football plan,” Damon tells Playboy in the magazine's January/February issue.

And with regard to Douglas' lip-locking abilities, Damon adds, "Michael was a wonderful kisser.”

However, Damon admits that when it comes to romantic gestures, he could use some help.

“I’m sh*tty at that. I wish I were better because my wife deserves somebody who surprises her with a gift or flowers or some wonderful idea. I’ve never been good at that, and she’s really good at it, which makes me feel even more like sh*t.”

Damon is now a dad to three daughters -- Isabella, 6, Gia, 4, and Stella, 2 -- and stepdaughter Alexia, 14, with wife Luciana, whom he married in 2005. And he tells Playboy that he's okay with looking his age, 42.

“I remember having dinner with Tommy Lee Jones 20 years ago. I was looking at his face and thinking, Sh*t, I can’t wait to have lines like that," he says. "A guy like that can just sit there and be so expressive. I mean he’s also one of the best actors ever, but I remember being in a hurry to get some of those lines. I’m getting more lines every day.”

In case you were wondering how the actor manages to remain so humble, he explained his method to Jay Leno earlier this week: Every day, he finds an article about himself and reads three of the user comments.
