Nathan Cochran, Oklahoma State University Student, Charged With Sexual Assaults Of Male Students

Student Accused Of Sex Assault On Male Schoolmates

An Oklahoma State University student and former fraternity leader faces charges of sexually attacking male students as they slept, the Oklahoman reports.

Nathan Cochran, 22, who belonged to the FarmHouse fraternity and was secretary of the Interfraternity Council, had already been suspended by the school after an internal investigation stemming from complaints from fraternity members.

The police got involved after The Daily O'Collegian reported the allegations against Cochran, and are focusing on the claims of two other alleged victims who surfaced in the criminal investigation. But police continue to search for evidence of other cases even though Cochran has already been charged in court, the Stillwater NewsPress wrote.

According to recorded testimony reported by KJRH, Cochran allegedly fondled a man as he slept and tried to insert his penis in the man's mouth and attempt other sexual acts in November 2011.

In August 2012, another accuser who was acquainted with Cochran said Cochran groped him after he fell asleep. When the man awoke and went to the bathroom to wait for Cochran to leave, Cochran reportedly then sent him a series of panicky texts asking the man not to misinterpret his actions, Fox 23 noted. "Please I can't ruin my life cause I was black out drunk ... Just text me?" Cochran wrote in messages obtained by police.

Cochran faces three counts of sexual battery, each of which could mean up to 10 years in prison, The Oklahoman reports.
