Jason Sadler Sells Last Name To Headsets.com For $45,500

This Guy Just Sold His Last Name

While most of us brainstorm resolutions we'll kickstart at the beginning of the new year, one entrepreneur is preparing to begin 2013 with a new name.

Jason Sadler sold his last name to Headsets.com in an auction that ended Wednesday night. Starting January 1, Sadler will legally change his name to Jason HeadsetsDotCom and he'll keep the name for the entire year.

"My legal name will be: Jason HeadsetsDotCom. Fun stuff!" Sadler wrote in an e-mail to the Huffington Post.

Headsets.com is, as its name suggests, an online retailer of headsets. They claim to carry the largest inventory of brand-name headsets as well as their own line.

The website beat out PawnUp.com after a frenzied bidding war, Sadler wrote. His name was sold for $45,500.

According to an article on CNNMoney, Sadler -- soon to be Mr. HeadsetsDotCom -- said he plans to donate some of the money to charity in addition to using it as capital for his startup.
