FIRST LOOK: Discovery Channel's Extraordinary New Series 'Africa'

This January, Discovery Channel will take its viewers on a journey into the African wild.

In the seven part series, "Africa" will chronicle what is believed to be one of the last gatherings of rhinoceroses on earth, a young chimp making her way through the Congo and fly-hunting lizards who lounge on the backs of lions hoping to catch flies. Filmed all over Africa, the series' production team had to use 21 different types of cameras to shoot more than 2,000 hours of footage.
