Linsanity returned to the Big Apple on Monday night. Unfortunately for Knicks fans, Jeremy Lin was in town with the Houston Rockets.
When Lin's name was announced during the visitors' introductions, the home fans got on their feet and gave him a loud welcome. Although a smattering of boos could be in heard in the crowd, the reaction seemed largely positive.
After working through his choreographed handshakes with his current teammates, Lin did what some fans thought he might do for a little while longer as a member of the Knicks: He starred in a win at the Garden. Lin went 9 for 15 from the field, finishing with 22 points and eight assists in Houston's 109-96 win over New York.
After the game, Lin took to Twitter to tell his followers how much he enjoyed being back in New York City.
