Last week, Stephen Colbert gave America a special treat: Four episodes of "The Colbert Report" that ended with joyous Christmas carols sung by Colbert and some of his favorite singers.

The Comedy Central host has celebrated Christmas through song before, with his 2008 Christmas special parody, "A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All." Toby Keith, John Legend and more joined Colbert for original, comical Yuletide tunes in that half-hour show.

But this year, Stephen went sincere. He sang "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with Diana Krall and Elvis Costello; "Baby, It's Cold Outside" with Audra McDonald; "Good King Wenceslas" with Michael Stipe and Mandy Patinkin; and the John Lennon song "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" with Sean Lennon, Mavis Staples and Jeff Tweedy.

"Good King Wenceslas" and "Happy Xmas" are also available on iTunes, with all proceeds going to the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance to benefit those harmed by Hurricane Sandy.

Colbert is perhaps more eager to sing on his program than any other talk show host. Just last week, he performed a duet with Dolly Parton on the Parton classic "Love is Like a Butterfly."

The Christmas spirit may not come as easily this year as in the past, but these four videos will lift your spirits.
