The "Birds" legend -- who recently had a comedic run with her daughter Melanie Griffith on "Raising Hope" -- will join the cul-de-sac crew on its new TBS home, TV Guide Magazine reports.

According to the publication, Hedren will play an iconic Hollywood legend, who rubs elbows with Jules (Courteney Cox) and her father (Ken Jenkins).

In more casting news ...

"Baby Daddy" nabs Lacey Chabert ... The "Party of Five" alum will guest star on two episodes of the ABC Family series as Dr. Amy Shaw, a sports psychologist working with the New York Rangers, who'll help Danny out of a major slump. But there may be more between them. [TV Guide]

And a "Vampire Diaries" star. Recent Mystic Falls addition Grace Phipps (April) will also appear in at least two episodes of "Baby Daddy" as Megan, a daycare manager who catches Ben's eye when he drops off Emma, but she thinks Ben and Tucker are a couple. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Steve Harris has signed on for TNT's "Legends." The drama pilot, executive produced by "Homeland's" Howard Gordon, centers on CIA operative Martin Odum (Sean Bean), who has an uncanny ability to transform himself for each job. Harris ("The Practice") will play Yates, the director of the DCO Task Force who hires Martin for an undercover job. [Deadline]

"Raising Hope" is getting two new comedy vets. Emily Rutherfurd ("The New Adventures of Old Christine") and Brian Doyle- Murray ("The Middle") will guest star on the Fox comedy in February. Rutherfurd will play Kelly, the daughter of one of Maw Maw's (Cloris Leachman) dead husband's mistresses, who the Chance family matriarch visits. Doyle-Murray will play the head of a TV network whose flagship show, "Yo Zappa Do," casts Hope as its new star. [TVLine]
