Divorce rumors are once again plaguing Bethenny Frankel and husband, Jason Hoppy. And although friends of the couple say they have had their rough patches, they currently have no plans to call it quits.
"Bethenny is the first to admit that she's not the easiest person to be with. She has had a very difficult childhood and finds it hard to totally trust and love, but Jason is the exception. He adores her and won't let her throw this away because she fears getting hurt," a friend of the reality star tells The Huffington Post.
Bethenny is currently putting together a staff for her talk show, which starts filming in New York next year, and she has recently been spotted out with friends -- but without Jason.
"She is an extremely independent woman," said one insider. "But do not mistake that for trouble in the marriage. She was independent the day she met him and hasn't changed since they said 'I do.' Being Mr. Bethenny Frankel isn't easy, but Jason doesn't mind being in her shadow."
However, more cynical sources suggested that if the couple does split, Bethenny, who is considered a publicity genius, will time it for the debut of her talk show to get ratings.
Bethenny did not return calls for comment.
