Henderson Throws One Down Over Dwight Howard

Maybe it's Dwight Howard who needs to put his big boy pants on. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year didn't seem like he felt like playing any defense when Charlotte's Gerald Henderson took flight for a monstrous dunk right in front of him.

In the fourth quarter of the Lakers' narrow win on Tuesday night, Bobcats center Bismack Biyombo grabbed an offensive rebound and quickly dished it to Henderson cutting through the lane. With Howard standing between Henderson and the basket, the former Duke star jumped from the middle of the lane and soared right over him for the one-handed slam.

Even a player on the Lakers bench jumped out of his seat, only to get pulled back down by a teammate.

Howard and the Lakers got the last laugh though. Leading by one in the final seconds, the Lakers' center clamped down on defense when it mattered most and blocked Kemba Walker's layup. Then Henderson got the rebound and missed an open layup as the Lakers held on for the 101-100 win. It was the 12th straight loss for Charlotte.

On the flip side, the Lakers nearly lost at home to the Bobcats who were on an 11-game losing streak...
