As the temperature drops, we’ve been blasting our fireplaces to keep warm. Usually, once the fire has died out, we throw out the wood ashes. But the Farmer’s Almanac found a really great way to use these remains to repel slugs and clean glass with them, according to the Almanac. Just be cautious when dealing with the particles and make sure you’re storing them properly.
