Thomasine Harjo Arrested For Alleged DUI, Says She Can't Be Arrested Because Of Court Date

Yes, You Can Be Arrested For DUI While Heading To Your DUI Trial

After allegedly barreling through the scene of a fatal accident, Thomasine Harjo came up with a whopper of an excuse for why she shouldn't be charged with driving under the influence, cops said.

News 9 reports that, on Dec. 26, the 25-year-old allegedly drove through police tape and into the Oklahoma City crime scene, narrowly avoiding hitting a police officer who had to lunge out of the way of her car.

Police said they detected alcohol on Harjo's breath and eventually arrested her on suspicion of DUI. She allegedly told cops she couldn't go to jail because she had to make a court appearance in the morning. When an officer asked her what the court appearance was for, she said "DUI," according to an arrest report obtained by the station.

The Weekly Vice reports that Harjo was arrested on charges of DUI, driving without a valid driver's license and obstruction of justice.

But Harjo's circular logic might not be the most farfetched excuse concocted to avoid a DUI arrest. Back in February, ABC News reported that a Florida woman said her large breasts prevented her from walking a straight line.
