Make A Bright And Colorful Braided Rug With Fabric Scraps

You'll be happy you have one.

Small rugs are great accessories for the home, especially during the winter. Whether placed at the front door to prevent snow from trailing into the house or used to shield your bare feet from the cold ground when you get out of bed in the middle of the night, they're really handy to have around. Plus, their fun colors and textures allow for so many different looks, so it's a great way to dress up a space. And today's Craft Of The Day from A Beautiful Mess shows us a fabulous way to make a unique one for our homes.

This braided rug is so easy to make because there's no sewing involved. All you have to do is rip and braid some pieces of fabric, gluing each strip in place. By finishing it off with waterproofing spray, you'll ensure that your creation will stay vivid (and functional) no matter how many snowy boots you wipe on it.

Head over to A Beautiful Mess to get the step-by-step tutorial.
