Thursday morning marked the official kickoff of Oscar season with the nominations for the 85th annual Academy Awards. Major favorite "Amour" is on the list for Best Foreign Language Film.

The films up for Best Foreign Language Film are Austria's "Amour," Canada's "War Witch," Norway's "Kon-Tiki," Denmark's "A Royal Affair," and Chile's "No."

Iran nabbed its first Oscar with last year's "A Separation." The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, beating out Belgium's "Bullhead," Israel's "Footnote," Poland's "In Darkness," and Canada's "Monsieur Lazhar."

Emma Stone and Seth MacFarlane announced the nominations. MacFarlane has also been lined up to host the 85th annual Academy Awards. The show will be held on Feb. 24 at Los Angeles' Dolby Theater.
